Yes indeed !!! David Gilmour and Roger Waters performed together, at Kiddington in Oxfordshire, England, last Saturday 10th July at a charity event for the Hoping Foundation (Hope and Optimism for Palestinians in the Next Generation) to raise funds for the children of Gaza.
David and Roger performed four songs: To Know Him Is To Love Him (written by Phil Spector), Wish You Were Here, Comfortably Numb, and Another Brick In The Wall (Part 2), together with Guy Pratt (bass and acoustic guitar), Harry Waters (keyboards), Andy Newmark (drums), Chester Kamen (guitar), and Jonjo Grisdale (keyboards).
The auctions for the evening raised £350,000 for the charity. You can make a donation here.
UPDATE: You can read a very interesting note about “The Hoping Foundation event” and …. the future of Roger and David on Roger’s Official Facebook page.
UPDATE II: Still on Roger’s Facebook page you can watch a 2 minute taster of the gig David and Roger did together for The Hoping Foundation back in July. The sound quality is crap but it was a great night for the two guys , and also for “US and THEM”. Please support the Hoping Foundation, they are doing great work for refugee children.
Go to www.hopingfoundation.org to see the video and please support the charity if you can.
UPDATE III: The whole performance of David and Roger is available since today, August 16th 2010, on www.hopingfoundation.org.
